And so...through many years...I've asked myself, over and over. That day— Did I do the right thing? Or was I wrong? I don't know. The answer never comes. But...that's exactly why. Wherever they end up...please, may it be a gentle place... I can't help but pray for that.

Senri Miyama (深山 千里, Miyama Senri) is a supporting character of That Wolf-Boy Is Mine! manga.

History[]

Prior to the series, Senri was a normal cat who lived as a stray. He was ostracized by humans for being a black cat which symbolizes bad luck. On day, Senri wandered into the yard of Sumi, a kind young girl who was dying from the same sickness her mother had perished from. Sumi adopted Senri and cared for him, but as Sumi's sickness worsened, Senri began to feel useless because he couldn't help this girl he so cared for. Kurō Yata offered a deal to Senri that he would be able to turn human and work for Sumi's family in exchange for dedicating his life to Yata after Sumi passed away. Senri accepted this deal and cared for Sumi until she died.

Personality[]

Typical of a cat, Senri is quiet, independent, and minds his own business. He tends to sleep a lot and doesn't particularly care what others think of him, but Senri is an insightful person who is good at helping others understand situations better. However, when he was still a normal cat, he formed a close bond with his first and only owner, Sumi. He cared greatly for Sumi which led to him sacrificing his own future to Kurō in order to take care of her. Unfortunately there was nothing he could do to save Sumi and he never got over her untimely death. Despite acting so nonchalant about his feelings, Senri greatly cares for his friends and prays for them to have great futures.

Physical appearance[]

Senri has straight short hair with side swept fringe and azure-colored eyes. He is of average height and build. Senri's school uniform consists of a white dress shirt with a gray v-neck sweater over top and black dress pants. During the winter, Senri wears a black gakuran jacket over his typical outfit.

Relationships[]

Friends[]

  • Sumi: Sumi was Senri's first and only owner, and the person who gave him his name. She loved and cared for Senri when he was a cat, but was unaware that her human caretaker and cat were the same person.
  • Kurō Yata: Kurō is Senri's teacher and the person who taught him how to transform into a human so he could care for Sumi. Senri essentially sold his soul to Kurō in order for this to happen and has no regrets over it. Unlike the other boys, Senri typically stays quiet and doesn't stand up to Kurō's wrongdoings, until it comes to Yū falling in love with a human.

Etymology[]

  • Senri's namesake comes from a type of cherry blossom called the Senriko. The name means "fragrant over a long distance."

Trivia[]

  • His favorite food is canned tuna, and least favorite is anything spicy.
  • He likes to take naps.
